Fall Workouts

The smell of Autumn is in the air and the cooler temperatures feel wonderful. As we move towards a new season, we also move towards new concerns for health with the current COVID-19 situation. Is the ventilation system truly safe to permit indoor workouts? Are workout facilities really enforcing social distancing? What disinfecting processes are being practiced? Should I use the locker room?

We understand these concerns and this is just one aspect we considered when we set up Fitness Plus. We also understand the concerns of cooler weather and protecting our health as fitness may have to move indoors. Most of us may already have cardio equipment in our homes such as elliptical trainers, exercise bikes, or treadmills. We also now have the added benefits of technology. Not only does technology allow us to workout in a location of our choice, but we can also now monitor our sleep patterns, diet, and a multitude of other health-related concepts.

As we move into the cooler weather, Fitness Plus has begun working on indoor workout classes. Our clients can beat the dreaded holiday weight gain, stay motivated, maintain social distancing, and adhere to the fitness program with more consistency. Cooler weather also brings in concerns of additional stretching and longer warm ups. This is where certified fitness professionals can assist you with reducing or eliminating the risk of injury. The last thing we want or need is to sideline our fitness program and have to start all over again after we heal from injury.

So, as we start to shut down the air conditioning systems and prepare to start spending more time indoors, lets end 2020 stronger than ever. This fall and winter will be a new normal yet again, and we want to make sure it is a healthy one. Flexibility is crucial and Fitness Plus provides that flexibility and convenience. We also have the added benefit of socializing via ZOOM for those of you who want live classes. Stay healthy, stay hydrated, and let’s go forward together.
