Motivation
Wow, tomorrow begins the next season; FALL. How does cooler weather affect you? It may affect you in many ways. Sometimes, when it is cooler and cloudy, your energy levels may drop. Sometimes, the cooler weather can energize us. One important thing to remember with cooler weather is to make sure we warm up a little longer and that we make sure we stretch to reduce the risk of injury. Cooler weather does make the muscle tissue more at risk for injury.
Today, despite being a trainer, motivation is lacking. We all have these days, and it’s okay. We can find other ways to practice health and well-being. Low energy days can be great for reflection. New seasons can also be great for reflection and considering what our goals will be for the upcoming year. We are approaching the holidays, which compounds the issues we face with eating and weight gain. We can make this holiday season different, if we choose to.
So, as we begin an unprecedented fall, as part of a year of many new practices, new habits, and new environments, let us make the most of the change of season. Let us plan our metamorphosis for the New Year, STARTING NOW!!!!! Why wait until January 1, 2021? Why add more to the challenges we face in the new year? Why not start now to get healthy, to focus on our well-being and to start a momentum early? We have been working on goals and seeing what changes we can make to get healthier.
Let’s continue to grow, to learn. Let’s focus on less television, more on reading and learning. Let’s focus on less time on our couch and more time on the fitness circuit. Why not spend less time fussing or worrying and spend more time giving back to our community? Let’s enjoy the fruits of fall; apples, squash, pumpkins. Let’s stay healthy, stay hydrated, and stay committed to being better.
